Galaxy Rounds August 22

Tonight was the second of two weeks we have been filling in for Sue and Phil Harris while they were away to USA West and seeing the eclipse in Wyoming. They'll be back this week.
This evening we worked on some troublesome figures and sequences in the first couple of dances (Send Her Roses and Laurann). The program tonight consisted of a lot of requests which was good and keeping the recent teaches fresh in everyone's minds and feet.

It was an interesting night. Our caller has gone off to watch the eclipse and we had Vicki Woods to fill in and provide some dancing fun, which she did. We also lost some of our higher level dancers to the eclipse also, so it was a phase 2 easy night tonight. Here is what we did:

Galaxy Rounds August 20

Today Chuck and Darlyne McDowall and I filled in for Sue and Phil Harris at their Sunday Phase IV Galaxy Rounds club for the second week. Today was our annual Hawaiian Luau party. We had lots of great food, lots of visitors with their Hawaiian shirts and dresses on and lots of good dancing, of course! Santa Clara County Fair Aug. 4

We had a great time dancing at the fair with Tork Clark, Roger Smith, Jim Osborne, Keith Ferguson and myself on the rounds. The weather was warm and a slight breeze kept everyone from getting too hot as the sun went down.
